About the School
The School of Arts at Nanjing University is a co-establishing unit of the university's Double First-Class Initiative in “Chinese Language and Literature and Art.” It boasts a long-standing tradition and profound foundation in both art education and research, and ranks among the leading art schools within China's comprehensive universities. The School has a high-level faculty team, including 22 instructors with senior professional titles. Among them are:1 Nanjing University Distinguished Professor in Humanities and Social Sciences, 2 Leading Talents of National-Level Talent Programs, 2 Young Talents of National-Level Talent Programs, and a First-Tier Talent of Jiangsu Province's 333 High-Level Talent Training Project.The School has established partnerships with institutions such as Brown University and The University of Texas at Dallas in the United States, the University of Florence and the University of Turin in Italy, University of Southampton in the UK, and has led and participated in numerous international collaborative projects, enjoying a strong international presence.
Positions
The School of Arts of Nanjing University plans to recruit young scholars who aspire to have a career in the field of Art Studies. The application is open to scholars from all over the world. This year, the school is seeking applicants for tenure-track associate professors and/or tenure-track assistant professors (up to two vacancies in total, of which up to one is for tenure-track associate professor). Higher positions for particularly outstanding scholars are available and application will be considered individually. Specific fields of research open for recruitment are:

Qualifications
The applicant should
1.abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, and have a passion for teaching and research;
2.abide by the ethics of teachers, uphold academic integrity, be willing to work diligently, and have no criminal record or record in breaching the ethics of teachers and/or academic integrity;
3.have a first-rate background in academic training—specifically, a PhD in relevant disciplines, experience in studying and/or working at first-rate teaching and research institutions, and knowledge of the latest international trends and development in the relevant research field(s).
4.have outstanding teaching abilities—the applicant should be able to teach core and frontline courses in the corresponding discipline, and have sound teaching methodology and strong verbal skills;
5.demonstrate outstanding research output and potential—the applicant should have publications in his/her field of research, original ideas about relevant fields of research, a clear vision about future research plans, and good potential for further academic development.
6.be in good health.

1.Position Application Letter (should include but not be limited to research direction, specific position, research summary, evidence of academic influence, teaching experience);
2.Three reference letters (usually from your doctoral supervisor, the academic head of your current workplace, and a well-known scholar in your research field);
3.A detailed CV (in either Chinese or English，including a publications list) ;
4.Five representative papers (The representative works submitted for review are generally papers or monographs that have been officially published in journals or have been published online and have DOI numbers.Please arrange them in order of importance);
5.Other relevant attachments that demonstrate academic achievement.

Compensation Package and Support
1.An annual salary (to be worked out individually);
2.A start-up fund for research;
3.Qualification to supervise graduate students;
